Halloween Weekend!

Posted by Derek Mann on 2018/10/26

I hope you’re ready for a spooky weekend with a little bit of holiday spirit sprinkled in! There’s lots of fun to be had in the GTA!

On Saturday morning, I’ll be heading to the Pickering Recreation Complex, there they have the Durham Regional Police Children’s Games happening, even if you’re not a participating athlete spectators are welcome to come down and check it out! There will be a bunch of competitors from across the Durham Region competing in various sporting events. If you’re going to come check it out bring your pop tabs for donation!

Next up, I’ll be heading to Pet Valu on Garden Street in Whitby! Looking forward to this one! From 11:00AM until 2:30PM bring your furry friend out to get their Halloween picture taken. There will also be pumpkins for sale and all proceeds from the day will be going to the Humane Society Durham Region.

Sunday will begin with some guided trail hikes in Rouge Park in Scarborough! Now that the leaves have started changing colours it’s never a bad time to take a walk through beautiful Rouge Park and see all the nature that is right in our backyard!

Now, I know we’re only just approaching Halloween but Christmas is coming early at Knights of Columbus Whitby! The Food and Toy drive is accepting donations from 10:00AM until 3:00PM. While you’re there get your photo with Santa, check out the craft sale and other holiday themed activities!

If you see me out this weekend, visit the Events Cruiser and pick up your meat snack from Great Canadian Meat!

Remember, if there’s ever an event you think I should know about, send me an email at:

Hope to see you out there this weekend!

-Kyle :)
