Valentines at the Zoo

Posted by Laura Belford on 2012/02/13

This past weekend at the Toronto Zoo if kids under 12 brought a Valentine they got in for free! It was a great chance to check out how the animals live through the winter months at the zoo and spend some time with the family. The Zoo also has a new baby polar bear that needs a name, if you can think of one and want to win some cool prizes check out http://www.torontozoo.com/polarbearcub/?pg=NameOurCub

We also went to the Scugog Shores Heritage Centre and Archives for their Winter Lecture Serise and learned about an elderly Mississauga woman named Susan who died at Scugog Island First Nation in 1903 and follow the steps in solving this true First Nation mystery. They have another lecture coming up on March 4th when they will take you on a whirlwind photographic tour of the new 7 Wonders of the World with a guide who has visited these amazing sites.
