Pancake Breakfast @ Ribfest

The Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood is serving a delicious pancake breakfast today and tomorrow from 8:30AM until noon at the Rotary Ribfest. The cost will be $4.50 for pancakes and sausage/or/ back bacon and it can supersized for a little more! Coffee will also be available for $1.50. Come get the most important (and tastiest) meal of the day and help support the Rotary Club.
Taste and Diversity Festival

Holy Family Church is celebrating a Taste Festival on Saturday, Sept. 11 from 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Visitors will be able to sample food and beverages from a variety of countries. The event also features various activities organized by the church's Youth Spirit group. Wyatt's Warriors @ The Brooklin Harvest Festival

Wyatt's Warriors will have a booth at the Harvest Festival in Brooklin today from 10AM-3:30PM, where they will spread awareness about Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) and sell some of their great warrior gear! Anyone can come out and grab a brochures available for those interested in learning more about CHD. There will also be fun and crafts for the kids! Come on out for a beautiful day outside and lots of fun while learning about CHD.

44th Annual Kleinburg Binder Twine Festival

Deep in history and tradition, the annual Kleinburg Binder Twine Festival, celebrating 44 years, returns in the lovely heritage village of Kleinburg.People come from far and wide to one the largest outdoor craft festivals! In addition to quality crafts of every possible description, there is entertainment all day long, food booths, a children’s area, old tyme activities and even a parade. For many the highlight is a unique Queen Contest, where “young ladies” call a hog, flip pancakes, hammer nails and even milk a cow. Gates are open from 9AM-6PM, parking facilities are available for only $2, and the site is wheelchair accessible. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and youth, and $2 for children between the ages of 2 and 12. Everyone in pioneer period costume is admitted FREE! This event is an annual fund-raiser which is in its 34th year and the proceeds go toward the church operation and maintenance. YOu can even purchase a booth to sell your items, for $20, which will also be donated to the church.
