The Diversity Debate Organizing Committee (DDOC) was formed with the goal of equipping residents with an accurate picture of the beliefs and values municipal candidates hold on topics surrounding diversity. By providing an opportunity for candidates to have their voices heard on these important topics, voters should feel empowered to make informed choices by the October 25 election. Join the DDOC September 14 from 6:30-8:30PM at the main branch of the Pickering Public Library in Auditorium One.

Pickering Museum Village 'Spirit Walk'

Only once each year do the Spirits of Pickering Museum Village come to life to tell the story of Canada’s 1837 Rebellion, and their part in it. Tonight, come be guided through the Pickering Museum Village by lamp light and experience the everyday challenges that the settlers faced and learn of their loves and their losses. 'A Spirit Walk' is a truly unique, outdoor theater experience that will be presented during the evening hours tonight as well as on September 24th and 25th. Tickets for this truly remarkable show must be ordered in advance and can be reserved by calling the Pickering Museum Village at 905-683-8401. Tickets are $15.
