OHL - PLAYOFFS

The Brampton Battalion are in danger of getting swept,  now  down 3 games to none after a 5-1 loss to the Colts in Barrie on Monday.  The Plymouth Whalers now in the same situation after a 5-0 loss to the Windsor Spitfires which gives the Spits a 3-0 lead in the best of 7 series.

In London, the Knights doubled the Kitchener Rangers 6-3 to take a 2 games to 1 lead in the series.  Nazem Kadri scored a goal added 3 assists for the Knights.

Just 1 game on Tuesday's schedule, with the Ottawa 67's, up 2 games to 1, facing the Majors, in Mississauga.

NHL

The Maple Leafs are back in action Tuesday, as they again look to play the role of spoiler, with the Philadelphia Flyers coming to the ACC.  Toronto's looking to climb out of the Eastern Conference basement, currently sitting 2 points back of both Florida and Tampa Bay.  The Flyers, hold the 8th and final playoff spot in the East, 2 points up on the Rangers and 3 points ahead of the Thrashers.  New York is playing in Buffalo, while Atlanta hosts New Jersey.

In the Western Conference, there is just 1 playoff spot still up for grabs, and it's currently held by the Colorado Avalanche.  The Avs are 2 points up on the 9th place Calgary Flames.  On Tuesday, Colorado will play in Vancouver while Calgary hosts San Jose.  An Avalanche win, coupled with a Flames loss, would eliminate Calgary from the post-season.

NBA

The Toronto Raptors have a busy week ahead, as they play 4 games in 6 days, and none of them easy.  Toronto will face the number 1 team in the league, the Cavaliers in Cleveland on Tuesday, followed by a home game against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday.  Then the Raptors will play in Atlanta on Friday and host the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.  Toronto holds the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, sitting just 1 game up on Chicago.

MLB

The Toronto Blue Jays kicked off their 2010 regular season on a sour note, falling 5-4 to the Rangers in Texas on Monday afternoon.  Toronto was up 3-0, through 6 innings on home runs by Vernon Wells and Adam Lind.  However, Nelson Cruz would answer back for the Rangers, hitting a
3-run home run in the 7th, and driving in the tying run in the bottom of the 9th.  Jarrod Saltalamacchia drove in the game-winning run for Texas.  Jason Frasor takes the loss for the Jays, as he gave up 2 runs in the Bottom of the 9th.  Shaun Marcum started for the Jays, and didn't allow a hit through 6 innings, until the 3-run shot by Nelson Cruz.

Former Blue Jays ace Roy Halladay has his first win in a Phillies uniform, as Philadelphia hammered Washington 11-1.
Halladay went 7 innings giving up just 6 hits while striking out 9 batters.

NLL

The Toronto Rock are resting up, after back-to-back wins this past weekend.  Toronto snapped a 5-game losing skid with a win over Calgary on Friday night, and followed that up with a victory over Philadelphia on Saturday.  The Rock have just 1 game this week, as they face the Bandits, in Buffalo on Saturday.  Toronto's record stands at 8-6, as they sit 1 game back of first place Orlando in the East.

GOLF

Mike Weir will be the lone Canadian in the field, at this week's Masters, in Augusta, Georgia.  Calgary's Stephen Ames failed to qualify for the event.  Meanwhile, Tiger Woods, playing in his first competitive event in months, following a massive sex scandal, will be paired with KJ Choi and Matt Kuchar, in Thursday's opening round.
