SINGERS WANTED

Wednesday 11 September 2019, 02:00pm
Hits : 3983

RESOUND is Durham’s newest auditioned SATB contemporary classical choir for both younger and older adults.   Singing 3 concerts per year, good reading skills are required. Excellence in performance is a mandate of the choir as is community outreach.   Our outreach component includes premiering 4-part arrangements of youth compositions, combining with other choirs to sing a large choral work, and working with front line community organizations to raise awareness via our concerts. Rehearsals are held at 66 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa on Sunday evenings.

This year’s repertoire includes Lauridsen’s O Magnum Mysterium, Mozart’s Requiem, some Holst, Elgar, Brahms.   We are recording this year and attending a competition.
