The Life of Chuck
With The Life of Chuck, Mike Flanagan explores one of Stephen King’s most optimistic works. The world feels like it’s ending, and everybody is saying goodbye to Chuck. Wherever Marty (Chiwetel Ejiofor) goes, he can’t get away from Charles Krantz (Tom Hiddleston). His face shows up on billboards, window signs and even TV commercials. What’s so special about this seemingly ordinary accountant? Fans of Flanagan’s skillful storytelling in The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass, and Doctor Sleep will easily see why he gravitated towards the unorthodox structure of this King novella that manages a rare feat: finding warmth in melancholy.

Calling All Crafters!

The Oshawa Museum is hosting a craft circle for all ages on the last Sunday of each month. Bring your latest work in progress and hang out with museum volunteers and other like-minded crafters. This is the perfect chance to try something if you’re new to handicrafts or solve a mystery, like how to actually fix slipped stitches and how the heck to hold a crochet hook properly.

This is a free experience, but the Oshawa Museum always welcomes donations. Come to Guy House, the yellow museum building in Lakeview Park, between 12:30 and 3:30 pm.

Beth Adams got hooked on genealogy when her Aunt Charlotte took her and her mother to visit the Betts House on Westney Road in Pickering. The house was fantastic - but the family bible her cousin Myra showed her was the clincher! Inside that bible was a typewritten transcript of the family pages from an even older bible.

Calling all supposed know-it-alls, intrepid quiz masters, self-proclaimed professors of random knowledge and those who just want to have a good time and a good laugh! Test your brain's ability to retain random knowledge and fun facts in an "anything goes" trivia night where all skills are welcome! Join us as an individual or with a team of up to four people as we test your knowledge of movies, music, TV, cartoons, superheroes, pop culture, history, science, sports and more! 

NOTE: Each team will need to bring a smartphone, tablet or laptop to play.

Yoga in the Garden is back! Get your Zen on in the beautiful Henry House Heritage Gardens this summer!

Starting Friday, June 7, at 9 am, we’re on the mat and ready to flow. Classes are free drop-in 1 hour-long sessions, with donations accepted. All proceeds go to the Oshawa Museum. This series continues every Friday morning, rain or shine, through September (temperatures permitting.)

All levels of yogis are welcome! Please bring any props that support your practice. Also, not all yogis enjoy pets and animals during their practice. If you bring a pet, they must always be on a short leash.

This stranger-than-fiction drama resurrects a hugely popular real-life 1980s game show and the “luckiest man in America” who broke it. It’s time to Light Up The Night!

Get your glow on as you dance the night away in vibrant neon and multi-coloured lights. Anything you wear that's white or with vibrant colours will glow under black lights as you dance to an illuminating soundtrack that is sure to have you glowing. Wear some glow bracelets or light-up jewelry to enhance your look. We'll even have a face and body painting station in the Ontario Power Generation Atrium to amp up the fun. Add in some themed signature cocktails, treats, interactive activities, prizes and giveaways, and this becomes a dazzling dance party you'll be raving about.

We would like to invite you to attend the 420 Wing Oshawa Inc.'s 3rd Annual Gala Fundraiser on Saturday, April 25, 2026. This year's theme is "April in Paris". The event commences at 5:00 p.m.. There will be a dinner, silent auction, door prizes and dancing to live music. Dress is "Paris Chic" or cocktail attire. We are looking for support through Gala attendance, sponsorships or auction donations. Please help support this wonderful historic building, so we can continue to provide a space for social and memorial events that foster a strong sense of community and camaraderie in Oshawa for all of its citizens. Calling All Crafters!

The Oshawa Museum is hosting a craft circle for all ages on the last Sunday of each month. Bring your latest work in progress and hang out with museum volunteers and other like-minded crafters. This is the perfect chance to try something if you’re new to handicrafts or solve a mystery, like how to actually fix slipped stitches and how the heck to hold a crochet hook properly.

This is a free experience, but the Oshawa Museum always welcomes donations. Come to Guy House, the yellow museum building in Lakeview Park, between 12:30 and 3:30 pm.

Join Big Brother Big Sisters of North Durham for the 32nd annual Wing & Pizza Night! This years event will be held on Saturday May 2nd, 7pm at the Scugog Recreation Centre, Pad 1. Tickets will be on sale in February.  

Wing & Pizza Night is a well-attended community fundraising event that hosts over 650 guests each year. The evening features a live DJ, a cash bar, multiple raffles and draws, a live/silent auction, and a wide variety of delicious wings and pizza from local restaurants.

Often playing the role of caretaker to people, like her father, who should be caring for her, Lily Trevino longs for familial connection, having been abandoned by her mother as a child and then suddenly by her father in her twenties. Bob Trevino works long hours alone at a construction company to support his wife Jeanie's scrapbooking habit. Having endured a lot in the past decade, Bob puts his wife first, to the point of ignoring his own feelings and his need for friendship, meaning and connection - that is, until he gets an unexpected Facebook message from a stranger. Lily and Bob's blossoming friendship becomes a vital source of connection and healing for them both. In their own ways, they both learn they are worthy of extraordinary love exemplified through small acts of kindness.

Quizzes and Cocktails – The Series
Calling all supposed know-it-alls, intrepid quiz masters, self-proclaimed professors of random knowledge and those who just want to have a good time and a good laugh! Test your brain's ability to retain random knowledge and fun facts in an "anything goes" trivia night where all skills are welcome! Join us as an individual or with a team of up to four people as we test your knowledge of movies, music, TV, cartoons, superheroes, pop culture, history, science, sports and more! 

NOTE: Each team will need to bring a smartphone, tablet or laptop to play.

The Wedding Banquet
The Wedding Banquet is a joyful comedy of errors that reimagines Ang Lee's 1993 film, exploring the complexities of relationships between two LGBT couples. It follows a gay man, Min, who makes a deal with a lesbian couple, Angela and Lee, to obtain a green card in exchange for her partner's IVF treatments. Their plans are disrupted when Min's grandmother surprises them with a traditional Korean wedding banquet.
